(the) United States Military Academy
the military school that trains officers for the US Army. It is at West Point, New York, and was established by ↑Congress in 1802. It has about 4 000 students, who are called cadets. Famous US ↑generals who were trained there include Robert E Lee, Ulysses S Grant, John Pershing, Dwight D Eisenhower, George Patton, Douglas MacArthur and Norman Schwartzkopf.
